Today the 25th of June at around 1pm, Plymouth Pest Control got called to a wasp nest entering through a vent to an extractor fan the customer was worried about the wasps blocking up the air vent which means their would be no air flow. With the vent being blocked would cause a few problems mainly causing damp so there was a reason to be worried.

Plymouth Pest Control arrived at 1:30pm as you might think it was very busy looking at it from the outside. Then i took a look in the dorma loft after getting my bee suit on of course. as soon as i opened the door 3 wasps came at me lucky I put my suit on before opening the door. All I had to do is poke my head around the corner and there was the wasp nest as you can see from the picture from above.

After the Wasp nest treatment I cleaned the air vent out for the customer as there has been no air going through for a few months. as you can see from the picture you can see in the cavity. normally to prevent this there will be a plastic pipe which goes through into the loft, which as you can see that has not been installed. after removing the nest I pushed the pipe in to seal the gap so the air dose not seep out in the the loft causing mould.
